Refund and Returns Policy

1. NATURE OF OUR SERVICE

WrapsDesigner is a digital content subscription service that provides instant access to image processing tools. We do not sell physical products that can be returned.

2. YOUR COOLING-OFF RIGHTS

2.1 Initial Cooling-Off Period (14 Days)

When you first subscribe, you have a 14-day cooling-off period starting from your subscription date.

Important: Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you normally have the right to cancel digital content purchases within 14 days. However, when you subscribe and begin using our service immediately:

  • You give express consent for immediate access to digital content
  • Your subscription begins instantly upon payment
  • You can start uploading and processing images right away
  • If you use the service and then cancel within 14 days, you receive a proportionate refund based on usage (not a full refund)

2.2 Renewal Cooling-Off Periods (14 Days) – Effective Spring 2026

In compliance with the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024:

  • You have a 14-day cooling-off period starting from each renewal date
  • This applies to both monthly and annual renewals
  • During this period, you may cancel and receive a refund based on usage
  • You will receive a reminder notice 3-5 working days before each renewal
  • You will receive a renewal cooling-off notice at the start of each renewal period

3. HOW REFUNDS ARE CALCULATED

3.1 Usage-Based Refund Formula

When you cancel during any cooling-off period (initial or renewal), we calculate your refund based on actual value consumed, using whichever is greater:

Option A – Time-Based Calculation:

Amount consumed = (Days used ÷ Total days in period) × Subscription price

Option B – Credit-Based Calculation:

Amount consumed = (Credits used ÷ Total credits allocated) × Subscription price

Your refund = Subscription price – Amount consumed (whichever calculation is greater)

3.2 Why Usage-Based Refunds?

Our service incurs real processing costs for each vehicle outline you create. When you use credits, we pay for:

  • Server processing time
  • AI vectorization algorithms
  • Storage and bandwidth
  • Quality assurance systems

The usage-based refund ensures fairness: you pay only for what you actually used, whether that’s measured by time or by credits consumed.

3.3 Worked Examples

Example 1: Light Usage – Time Wins

  • Plan: £30/month for 100 credits
  • Used: 5 credits in 10 days, then cancelled
  • Time calculation: (10 ÷ 30) × £30 = £10.00 consumed
  • Credit calculation: (5 ÷ 100) × £30 = £1.50 consumed
  • Greater value consumed: £10.00 (time-based)
  • Refund: £20.00

Example 2: Heavy Usage – Credits Win

  • Plan: £30/month for 100 credits
  • Used: 90 credits in 5 days, then cancelled
  • Time calculation: (5 ÷ 30) × £30 = £5.00 consumed
  • Credit calculation: (90 ÷ 100) × £30 = £27.00 consumed
  • Greater value consumed: £27.00 (credit-based)
  • Refund: £3.00

Example 3: Full Quota Used

  • Plan: £30/month for 100 credits
  • Used: 100 credits in 2 days, then cancelled
  • Time calculation: (2 ÷ 30) × £30 = £2.00 consumed
  • Credit calculation: (100 ÷ 100) × £30 = £30.00 consumed
  • Greater value consumed: £30.00 (credit-based)
  • Refund: £0.00 (full value delivered)

Example 4: No Usage

  • Plan: £30/month for 100 credits
  • Used: 0 credits, cancelled within cooling-off period
  • Refund: £30.00 (full refund)

3.4 Transparency and Records

When you cancel, we provide you with:

  • A detailed usage report showing all credits consumed
  • Exact timestamps of each transaction
  • Both calculation methods (time and credits)
  • Clear explanation of which method was applied
  • Your final refund amount

We maintain comprehensive records of all usage for audit and dispute resolution purposes.

4. SUBSCRIPTION CANCELLATION

4.1 How to Cancel

You may cancel your subscription at any time by:

  • Logging into your account dashboard and selecting “Cancel Subscription”
  • Emailing us at contact us here

4.2 Outside Cooling-Off Periods

If you cancel outside any cooling-off period:

  • Your subscription will not renew at the end of the current billing period
  • You retain full access to the service until your current billing period ends
  • No refund is provided for the current period (as cooling-off window has passed)
  • After your subscription ends, you can still log in to download previously generated SVG files for 30 days

Example: If you subscribe on January 1st for a monthly plan (£30/month) and cancel on January 20th (outside the 14-day cooling-off period), you will continue to have full access until February 1st. You will not be charged again, but no refund is given for January.

4.3 Automatic Renewal

  • All subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled
  • You will be notified 3-5 working days before each renewal
  • Cancel anytime before the renewal date to avoid being charged
  • If you forget to cancel, you have a 14-day renewal cooling-off period (from Spring 2026)

5. REFUNDS WE PROVIDE

5.1 Cooling-Off Period Refunds

  • Initial 14-day cooling-off period: Proportionate refund based on usage
  • Renewal 14-day cooling-off periods (from Spring 2026): Proportionate refund based on usage
  • Calculated using the greater of time-based or credit-based consumption

5.2 Service Unavailability (Technical Fault)

  • If our service is unavailable for more than 48 consecutive hours due to technical issues on our end, we will either:
    • Extend your subscription by the equivalent downtime period, OR
    • Provide a refund for the affected period (at our discretion)
  • Scheduled maintenance periods do not qualify for refunds

5.3 Billing Errors

  • If you were incorrectly charged (duplicate charges, wrong amount, charged after cancellation), we will issue a full refund
  • Contact contact us here with proof of the error

5.4 Fraudulent Charges

  • If your payment method was used without authorization, report it immediately
  • We will investigate and issue refunds for confirmed fraudulent transactions

6. REFUNDS WE DO NOT PROVIDE

  • Cancellations outside cooling-off periods (access continues until period ends)
  • Change of mind after the cooling-off period has passed
  • Dissatisfaction with output quality after using credits
  • Not using the service during your subscription period (“I forgot I had it”)
  • Forgetting to cancel before renewal (but you can use the renewal cooling-off period from Spring 2026)
  • Issues caused by your internet connection, device, or uploaded image quality
  • Exceeding upload limits (limits are clearly stated in plan details)
  • After you’ve consumed your full credit allocation

7. REQUESTING A REFUND

To request a refund during a cooling-off period or for other valid reasons:

  1. Email contact us here or use your account dashboard
  2. Provide:
    • Your account email address
    • Reason for refund request
    • For billing errors: proof/evidence (screenshots, payment receipts)
  3. We will respond as soon as possible with your usage calculation
  4. If approved, refunds are processed as soon as possible to your original payment method

8. ABUSE PREVENTION

We reserve the right to:

  • Investigate patterns of repeated subscription, credit consumption, and cancellation
  • Suspend or terminate accounts engaged in refund abuse
  • Refuse future subscriptions from accounts with abusive refund patterns
  • Report fraudulent activity to relevant authorities

Fair use of cooling-off rights is protected. Systematic exploitation is not.

9. PAYMENT DISPUTES AND CHARGEBACKS

Before initiating a chargeback: Please contact us at contact us here. Most issues can be resolved quickly without involving your bank.

If you initiate a chargeback:

  • Your account will be immediately suspended pending investigation
  • We will provide your bank with detailed usage records and transaction evidence
  • If the chargeback is found to be invalid, your account may be permanently terminated
  • Chargeback fees may be recovered through legal action if the dispute is resolved in our favor

10. FREE TRIALS (If Applicable)

If we offer a free trial period:

  • Cancel before the trial ends to avoid charges
  • You will be notified 3 days before the trial ends and converts to paid subscription
  • Once the trial converts to a paid subscription, you have a 14-day initial cooling-off period
  • Usage during the trial period does not count toward cooling-off refund calculations

11. PRICE CHANGES

  • We reserve the right to change subscription prices with 30 days notice to existing subscribers
  • Existing subscribers will be notified via email
  • Price changes apply only to new billing cycles, not current subscriptions
  • You may cancel before the price change takes effect
  • Cancelling due to a price increase follows standard cancellation rules

12. ACCOUNT TERMINATION BY WRAPSDESIGNER

If we terminate your account for violating our Terms and Conditions:

  • No refund will be provided
  • You will lose access immediately
  • You may download previously generated SVG files for 7 days
  • Unused credits are forfeited

13. COMPLIANCE WITH UK CONSUMER LAW

This policy complies with:

  • Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013
  • Consumer Rights Act 2015
  • Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024 (effective Spring 2026)
  • Distance Selling Regulations
  • UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018

14. UPDATES TO THIS POLICY

We will update this policy when the DMCC Act 2024 provisions come into force in Spring 2026. Active subscribers will be notified of changes via email at least 30 days in advance.
